We are looking for a highly motivated Ph.D. student with an interest in computational fluid dynamics and finite element modeling to join Taebi Lab at Mississippi State University. Our lab focuses on developing early diagnosis methods and personalized treatments for cardiovascular diseases. Learn more about our research: https://www.taebilab.abe.msstate.edu.
Applicants should have an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related areas. Strong applicants with a B.Sc. degree will be considered too. Previous experience in developing CFD/FE simulations in ANSYS or similar software is required. Proficiency in MATLAB or Python programming is a big plus. The successful applicant will pursue a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering to develop intelligent and patient-specific solutions for the earlier detection of cardiovascular diseases. This position requires communication and interaction with our medical collaborators.
